SERVING ADULT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES
What I believe..
I believe that every human has a right to make their own choices, and those choices reflect the life they are currently living. Counseling is the pit stop where a person has an opportunity to look at the life they are living through another perspective. Often, we cannot see the blind spots that keep us from living our best life. Or because of the past trauma we lived through, we cannot see the wonderful parts of ourselves that everyone else can see. My role as your counselor is to be a mirror for you to see clearly what you bring to the world and what may hinder you from bringing the best parts of yourself forward. I see counseling as a journey rather than a destination. There is no hurry or rush in the counseling process. Instead, it is a process that we will venture into together. My primary goal is to provide a loving and compassionate environment for you to grow at the pace that you desire.
The approach I use and serve…
The approach I use to achieve this goal is through a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) theory. EFT is an is an evidence-based approach to psychotherapy that draws primarily from attachment theory. The purpose of EFT is to facilitate a secure, vibrant, connection with self and others. CBT & DBT are two forms of psychotherapy or “talk therapy” that helps you learn skills to help manage challenges on your own. CBT teaches you how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors influence each other while DBT helps you cope with extreme or unstable emotions and harmful behaviors.
Who I serve…
I serve clients struggling with trauma, PTSD, addictions to alcohol and substances, and codependency. I also enjoy working with those struggling with relational distress, connecting with others, anxiety, and depression. If you think you may want to work with me, please reach out and we can connect for a free 20 minute consultation to make sure I’m the right fit for you.
My formal education and experience…
I have a BA in Spanish and Business through Portland State University. I will have an MS in Clinical Psychology through Southeastern University in Spring of 2025. In addition, I have spent the last ten years working in the field of recovery for codependency, alcohol and drug addiction.
Payment for Services:
My fee is $65 for a clinical hour (50 minutes). Payment is made upfront for each session by credit card on file. All appointments will be charged as stated above unless cancellation is made with a 24-hour notice of your scheduled appointment or there has been an agreed-upon emergency related to cancellation.
A Bit More Personal:
I am a girl mom of a beautiful toddler and married to a Nashville singer, songwriter and guitarist. We are a musical family that loves to sing and dance wherever we are. We love to travel. We even have a kitty named Marley that travels with us wherever we go. When I am not working in the counseling field I am traveling with my family (our favorite place is Greece & Spain). I love to run, bike, hike, weightlift and eat yummy healthy foods. Funny fact about me is that I was in the Hollywood fashion and beauty world for over 20 years, and I carry a clean beauty line that educates and empowers others to live a toxic free lifestyle.
